Hi! I’m a recent engineering graduate living in Shropshire, UK after finishing my Master’s degree in bioengineering and mechanical engineering at the University of Cambridge.

My website showcases the main projects I’ve worked on and experience I’ve gained both at university and independently. While I work torwards an interdisciplinary engineering career, I also enjoy studying across science as well.

  • Beginning a 2-year engineering graduate scheme at Scottish Power Energy Networks (SPEN), rotating through various roles and projects, including I&C and SCADA systems in the 132 kV transmission network.

  • Devised academic curricula and scripts for educational maths and engineering tutorial videos on YouTube.
  • Collaborated with a YouTuber with over 3 million subscribers (Professor Dave Explains), who animated, voiced and published the videos.
  • Tutorial topics included differential equations (ODEs and PDEs) and four branches of engineering (electrical, mechanical, chemical, structural: in progress), for a total of ~100 videos at ~10 minutes each.

Bio-Inspired Robotics Lab (BIRL)

  • Investigated the use of hydrogel-based e-skin for multi-touch sensors via electrical impedance tomography (EIT) and neural networks
  • Co-authored and published a conference paper to IEEE RoboSoft and responded to peer review
  • Assembled a tensile testing machine for characterising the hydrogel’s viscoelastic properties
  • Used various machine tools (laser cutter, 3D printer) to fabricate the microcontroller-driven robot end effector and synthesised the gelatin-glycerol-carbon black sensorised e-skin.
  • Programmed a UR5 industrial robot in Python to fully automate the data collection pipeline, obtaining a real dataset for pressing of the e-skin, and designed neural nets to predict touch position based on the EIT data with up to 90% accuracy.
